Our Services & Pricing
At Twisted Bones Taxidermy, we prioritize ethical and legal compliance when accepting animals for preservation. We require all animals to have been legally taken and have the necessary tags or harvest reports. To make the process easier, we've provided a link where you can print your migratory tags or report your harvest. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain our commitment to responsible taxidermy practices.

TERMS OF SERVICE
1. Deposit Requirement
-
1.1 A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total order cost is required before work will begin.
-
1.2 Deposits are due at the time of booking. Orders without a deposit will not be scheduled.
2. Final Payment
-
2.1 The remaining balance is due: At the time of pick-up, or Before shipment, if applicable.
-
2.2 Failure to pay the remainder constitutes a material breach of this Agreement and may result in forfeiture of the mount.
3. Shipping Policy
-
3.1 All shipping costs are the Customer's responsibility.
-
3.2 Shipping must be paid in full before any product is shipped, or as outlined on the final invoice.
4. Pick-Up & Shipping Deadline
-
4.1 Customers must pick up or schedule shipment within 15 days of notification that their project is complete.
-
4.2 Failure to do so will result in storage fees (see Section 5).
5. Storage Fees
-
5.1 A $50 weekly storage fee will be added to the final bill for any completed mounts not picked up or shipped within the 15-day grace period.
-
5.2 The Provider reserves the right to withhold the finished product until all fees are paid in full.
6. Abandonment & Property Rights
-
6.1 If the Customer fails to pay or retrieve their mount within 60 days of completion, the item becomes property of Twisted Bones Taxidermy.
-
6.2 The Provider may resell or dispose of the item to recover material, time, and storage costs.
7. Turnaround Times & Delays
-
7.1 Estimated turnaround time for most taxidermy work is up to 12 months from the date of deposit.
-
7.2 Paying in full does not move a project ahead in the queue. Orders are completed in the order deposits are received.
-
7.3 Delays may occur due to the artistic nature of the craft, seasonal workload, supply shortages, or biological conditions of the specimen.
-
7.4 European mounts are not boiled. They undergo a detailed degreasing process which varies based on species, condition, and size. Each one is considered case-by-case, and will be completed only once the specimen is fully degreased and stabilized.
-
7.5 Project status and queue position can be tracked via the Client Portal.
